Caucasian Ovcharkas-Nagazis become popular in the west after "perestroika" and collapse of former Soviet Union. Significant amounts of Nagazis (Caucasian Ovcharka-CO) were and are exported to the West Europeans states and America and now are represented on all major dog shows in this countries.

Main source of export were dogs breaded in the former state kennels of Soviet Union - ancestors of which mostly were got from Georgia in 1950s and 1960s. This subculture, family of Nagazis-COs now forms specific - "Exhibition" or "Toy" family line of Nagazi-CO breed.

But, all the time in Georgia was existed genuine - "Natural", "Aborigeneous" - we call "Endemic" family line of Nagazi and especially most loved by shepherds white ones. Genuine family group of natural, endemic Nagazi now is the most important genetic source for future improvement and fixing "Exhibition" family line of Nagazi-CO.

This site is managed by person who was growing in mountainous village where most part of villagers were shepherds and whose grandfather was master shepherd - dealing with Nagazis professionally from the end of 19th century. And so this site is attempt for representation of utilitarian, working approach towards Nagazi breed - point of view of people who originally developed and breaded Nagazis during centuries.
