Frank Schreier´s Nagazis
By admin : 3/31/2007

Dear Vissarion,

thank you for your mail and your interest in my dogs.

You have asked me for some information about my kennel. Well, I would not say that I have a kennel, as I am not in dog-business - I do not sell puppies, I present them to my friends especially here in the mountain regions as Pshavi, Khevsureti and also Tusheti.

There are not many pure-bred dogs left in the Caucasus, people in the mountains are lacking good ‘nagazi’.

I am working on the short-haired dogs (people here usually call them Nagazi or Meckhvare, as you know). I am working together with Temuri Tsagareishvili (maybe you have heard about him, at least you have a lot of his pictures on your website).

Here you see Temuri, together with his dog Tugo (2 years), an excellent male:

He is also the owner of some other excellent dogs.

Myself I have four dogs, two males and two females.

This is one of my males, Bassara (3years):

Bassara is the son of Tetri Khoda (here at the age of 11 months):

And Tetri Khoda’s father was Khoda, the famous fighter, former champion of the Caucasus and Tadshikistan:

Anyone dealing seriously with Nagazi knows these dogs.

Here is Kerbi (2 ½ years), one of my females.

And one more picture of her, to show her power during movement:

Don’t forget, Kerbi is a female. She is very strong, stronger than most of the male dogs.

I think you now have an idea of my dogs and the bloodlines I am working with. If you have any questions or simply want to exchange with me, just write to me.

With a last picture of my Bassara, I wish you all the best

Best regards
Frank Schreier frank@ibf-georgia.ge
